Dan Mann

Dan brings more than 30 years of music industry experience to JRA Fine Arts. His experience includes stints as an artist manager, booking agent, record label manager, tour manager and magazine publisher. He moved to Nashville in 1988 and began a working relationship with Jeff Roberts five years later. As an artist manager in the late ‘90s, Dan again worked closely with Jeff and his staff in booking and touring his clients. He joined the JRA Fine Arts staff in January 2011.

Dan’s taste in music is as varied as his career. On his iPod you’ll find everything from Beethoven to Old Crow Medicine Show and a wide selection of jazz virtuosity. His favorite album is Shirley Horn’s 1993 Here’s to Life, but his guilty pleasure song is Journey’s When the Lights go Down in the City

A less-than-memorable performance as Tiny Tim in his school’s 7th grade production of A Christmas Carol made Dan choose the route of ‘patron of the theater’ instead of chasing thespian dreams. Working with JRA Fine Arts allows him to expand his patronage to areas of the theater not yet explored.

Whether he’s signing and booking musical acts or theatrical productions, Dan looks for the spark of authenticity in performances. He concludes, “I’m just excited to come to work every day and to be able to represent some of the finest works of performing art I’ve ever experienced.”
